While having a strong opinion about my mother tongue, Mark Twain has it right, in a way: “Whenever the literary German dives into a sentence, that is the last you are going to see of him till he emerges on the other side of his Atlantic with his verb in his mouth.”.  Well, Twain didn’t get german, but concerning writing in english he was certainly right.  Have to learn from native speakers how to form short sentences.  Will work on this.
